Arnold Joseph Kemp lives and works in Chicago, IL. Kemp is an alumnus of Stanford University and has shown at the Drawing Center in NYC, The Studio Museum in Harlem, The Berkeley Art Museum, The National Art Gallery of the Bahamas, Mu.Zee (Belgium), The Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, The Wattis Institute, HilgerBROTKunsthalle (Austria), Adams and Ollman, ROXBOXCONTEMPORARYFINEART, Disjecta, and the Luggage Store/509 Cultural Center. His last solo exhibition HEADLESS was at Soloway in Brooklyn, NY in 2015. He has recently performed at the San Francisco Art Institute, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Banff Center (Canada). Kemp is a Guggenheim Fellow in Visual Arts (2012) and is the Dean of Graduate Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Arnold J. Kemp is represented by PDX Contemporary, Portland, Oregon.
