They make me think of American family drama in sitcoms and in combo with the Ralf paintings,
it's all so Roseanne!

My memory of that show is so vague, I just have a feeling of lots of checked shirts, I dont think it was ever summer. Things were downtrodden and there was so much conflict. I don't even remember it being a comedy, but maybe I was too little. Seemed suffocating!
